Juma Mosque in translation into Russian means Friday, when every Muslim is obliged to come to the mosque to pray. The Juma Mosque is the oldest mosque in the Caucasus and the Middle East after the Derbent Juma Mosque. The original building of the mosque was built by Abu Muslim in 743.

We will head to the Ismaily region where you will see the Suspension Bridge over the Girdiman River. It is through it that you can get from the ancient village of Lagich to the no less unique village of Zarnava. The turbulent waters of the Girdiman River flow below, and only the most daring dare to cross the swinging bridge.

After receiving an adrenaline rush in Ismaily, we will go to the beautiful region of Azerbaijan Gabala. There you will see the Waterfall of 7 beauties. Just imagine: the mountains of the Greater Caucasus, where trees with densely woven crowns grow, forming a constant shade and coolness, and a waterfall originating high in the mountains, cascading down. All this is simply amazing.

But we do not stop there, we continue our way to the Sheki region, where I will introduce you to the Palace of the Sheki Khans. The building of the palace, built in the 18th century in the Persian style, is located in the elevated north-eastern part of the city. The territory is fenced with fortress walls. The palace, about 30 meters long, consists of two floors, and the facade of the palace is painted with narrative drawings depicting scenes of hunting and war, as well as geometric and floral patterns. In the center is a huge stained-glass window made of multi-colored glass mosaic. The windows of the palace are assembled from pieces of colored glass and covered with openwork stone bars.

In one of the oldest villages on the territory of modern Azerbaijan - Kish, there is a unique architectural monument - a temple of the times of Caucasian Albania. The current building of the Church of St. Elisha was erected in the X-XII centuries. At the same time, according to a number of historians, the temple in Kish stands on the very spot where Equal-to-the-Apostles Elisha founded the first church. That is why the temple in Kish was often called the Mother of churches in the Caucasus.
